Personality:
Although always assumed to be a pervert, now a days, who isn't? That isn't who Kyo is, though. Infact, you've most likely never met anyone as short-tempered and arrogant as Kyo before. Kyo is one who will easily push others away for fear of betrayal. He naturally dislikes people for looks and tone of voice, which also makes him a tad bit prejudice as well. Aside from the bad traits, Kyo does have a good heart. He'll go to any extent to make a close friend happy, or anyone happy for that matter, and Kyo is loyal to most everyone. He does suffer from a slight depression though, and always views his life as a half empty glass. Or maybe you could just say hes not exactly the optimist. Kyo doest really mind his problems, more or less focusing on others which can make what he's thinking unclear or uncertain. Because of Kyo's great care for others, he often keeps his own problems bottled up inside, the result causing him to explode with anger at tiny things. Usually his bottled up anger can get the best of him, and objects may go flying, but Kyo tries his best afterwords to win back his lost ally. Kyo is also well looked at as a father figure. Its usually hard to find him not at a certain persons side, and if you happen to be in a feud with Kyo's friend, then your a worst enemy of Kyo's. Kyo also finds it hard to turn anything down, for fear of disappointing someone, but overall every once in a while Kyo has to remember that watching out for himself is important too.
Background:
Born natively in Tokyo, Japan, Kyo could never imagine a life better then his older brother, Kohara's. Kohara had everything. He was favored by everyone in high school, was a straight A student, and his parents adored him. Poor Kyo, However, felt left out. He didn't much mind how much more attention Kohara got from their parents compared to how little Kyo was receiving. Being ten at the time, Kyo actually liked the distance from his parents. It gave him more freedom to learn and grow at his own pace, and he found the quiet of being alone much more pleasant. The quiet was broken one day as a tired Kyo woke up to find his mother in an insane state of tears as Kyo's father desperately tried to comfort her. Kyo was surprised at first, unable to come to a conclusion as to what had happened before his father turned on him and began yelling. Kyo found the words hard to understand, but they still cut him like knifes. Kyo rushed up stairs, and locked himself in his room for several weeks, starving himself. He knew he was overreacting, but he couldn't help it. The way his father had yelled at him hurt, and the way his mother couldn't bare to look at him hurt even more. Shortly after Kyo had decided against his seclusion from the others, he was sent away to live with his uncle, Sakamoto, in the Americas. Kyo was still confused at the time, unable to figure out why his parents had come to dislike him so until, out of pitty, Sakamoto had told Kyo of Kohara's running away. This hurt Kyo more then being sent away in fear that his parents hated him. Now his brother was missing, and he assumed that his parents blamed him for the absence. Kyo fell into a silent depression, barely speaking to anyone about anything.
The self assertion I prided myself on called 'RIOT' there was no freedom, nothing beyond this light.: Kyo has the ability to manipulate other's feelings. For example, if one is feeling sad, he can make them happier or if one is in a panic, he can make them calmer. Through this, he can also very briefly feel what they are feeling. Although he doesn't have full understanding on what it is, and believes that his 'ability' is utterly useless and pointless, he'd rather just leave it be forgotten...
